STS Success Story: Laszlo’s Journey From Torn ACL to Ripped Spartan Warrior! (PICS)

“Doing a pushup was impossible and painful as hell” I love to share success stories and Laszlo’s is incredible. Not only did he use the Spartan Training System 10 Week Fat Loss program to get ripped while building more muscle, but he also recovered from a torn ACL and doubted that he would ever be able to do the exercises and metabolic workouts again. Check out his email message below and pictures of his journey Hey Funk, Finally, I have finished your 10-week Spartan Training. It was hard, it was tough, but it was the best thing I’ve ever done or tried out in the gym. We cheated a little bit with the 10 weeks, because we held an extra week with your Kick Ass workout and your 300-dumbbell challenge workout, but I think the results are great. Before the 10-week programme I’ve tried out the 300-dumbbell challenge and my time was 14:15 with a 10 kg dumbbell. After the 10-week programme I’ve done it again and my time was 16:45 with a 16 kg dumbbell. When I’ve torn my ACL a year ago in august and I was only able to walk with a pair of crutches (you can see those times on the third picture), I haven’t thought that one day I will be able to do exercises like this again. My leg was so unstable, that doing a pushup was impossible and painful as hell, but then I’ve found your YouTube channel and your blog, a year passed by and now I am in better shape then ever. I am stronger than ever and now I am qualified Fitness Instructor as well. It would have been impossible without your workout program, nutrition plan and motivation. I just would like to thank you once again for creating these awesome workouts for us and teaching the world how to live, train and eat much healthier. You are a real icon Funk, thank you once again! Greetings from Hungary!                 Best regards, László Kiripóczky LEARN HOW YOU CAN GET INTO THE BEST SHAPE OF YOUR LIFE WITH SPARTAN TRAINING SYSTEM 10 WEEK FAT LOSS PROGRAM – CLICK HERE

Dewald Pretorius takes on the weight loss challenge to lose 30 kilograms before his 30th birthday in June 2012! Follow him, his exercise/eating routine and become part of this 5 month journey! I was so pumped when I received a message from Dewald thanking me for the weekly workouts and tips that I provided through this website and my FunkMMA Strength and Conditioning site.  I was impressed, proud and found inspiration in Dewald’s success in losing 31kgs so far this year.  His hard work and dedication make me LOVE providing you with workouts, nutrition info and health tips that help you reach your goals, but this is about Dewald. He started his fat loss quest in January 2012 and on top of that put in on Facebook so that he was accountable to everyone for the goals that he set.  Take a page out of Dewald’s book and make yourself accountable for the goals that you set by telling people what you are doing. Check out and “LIKE” his page so you can follow his journey and perhaps get inspiration from his success. Spartan Pete Transform His Body from 264lbs to 185lbs and is Ready for Battle

Former Hockey Player Pete Mongeau Loses 80lbs and Prepares for Battle with help of Spartacus Workouts     When Pete from Atlanta, Georgia first sent me a message on Facebook, telling me that my workouts had helped him to get to a lean 185lbs, I didn’t realize there was a fantastic transformation story behind it. His success story really inspires me. First because he is 39 years old and is heading into his second MMA Fight (Make sure to watch his fight below) and second because he lost over 80lbs and is preparing for his Muay Thai fight, Feb 12, 2012. His path to his amazing transformation has spanned over a year and the dedication, discipline and perseverance to overcome barriers is incredibly inspiring and motivating. It shows that if you have a goal, keep it in your sights and stay focused on achieving success anything is possible. Pete used Spartacus workouts to reach his now 185lbs of lean muscle (check out his brief training video) and cutting to 175lbs for his fight. Pete is also a Strength and Conditioning Coach and HIIT Specialist, so incorporating Muay Thai Training, FunkMMA Workouts, Pete’s own training principles and clean nutrition has brought him great success. Congratulations Pete, Great Work! PETE’S STORY (EMAIL) Funk, I wanted to share with you my experience with your program as a 39 year old Muay Thai fighter I needed an edge to keep up with the younger fighters. Two years ago I began my journey at Sept 10 2010 264 lbs. heavy and not competitive at all. As an ECAC All-American ice hockey career in my past I was well aware of what it took to be competitive once again. I have enclosed a series of photo’s to mark my progress. By Sept 10 2011 I had cut my weight down to 215 lbs. and cutting to 190 at fight time. I needed to shock the body. That’s when I found you and your program on the web!!! Today I am walking around at 188 and am cutting to 175 for my next fight Feb 17th Bangkok Fight Night 12. My most recent pictures outside are last weekend taken for the promotional poster for the fight. Your combination of workouts and the amount of level changes that each workout provides is the key to my recent success. If any fighters have any doubt I would be happy to share more about my success! Power Born – Start Weight 245lbs and Current Weight 218lbs
When I got the email and before/after picture from my man Power, I was blown away at what his hard work and dedication had produced. I was also very impressed with his PIPES (biceps) and new physique. These are the types of testimonials, pictures and feedback that keep the PASSION to share my fitness, nutrition and healthy lifestyle knowledge with you. First I want to congratulate Power Born on his amazing body and healthy lifestyle transformation. Your hard work and success inspires and motivates me to do what more of what I do and I hope it does others as well.
Quickly, Power contacted me some months back letting me know that he was going to make the change to a healthier lifestyle and that my workouts were going play a large part in it. I told him to take BEFORE PICTURES (something you should all do when starting any type of program) – fast forward 6 months later and check out the results…and he is still going. I love that Power used some of my workout programs (Spartacus and MMA workouts) and added his own flavour of running. It is great to personalize workout programs when you can as well. But I digress, I took snippets of Power’s email to me, so you get an idea of his story. The best thing is that he is still going as Power has a set a GOAL with a TARGET DATE (something you should all do when starting any type of program) Power Born – Start Weight 245lbs and Current Weight 218lbs “Funk, I know it’s been awhile since we talked, I finally got those before and after pic’s for you. I want to thank you for the bodyweight workouts; they had a heavy part in me getting to the shape that you will see. I’m going for 200lbs by my birthday which is 10/30. The way I accomplished my goals was by keeping track of my weight every day. My diet is light during the day with a protein shake in the morning after my workout. Then I drink plenty of water during the day to help that protein through my system. My workout has been the Spartacus workout each month for the most part on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Tuesday and Thursday I do your MMA workouts. In the first few, months I did 4 miles of jogging after each workout and only jogged on my non-resistance days which are Saturday and Sunday. Then in the last three months I have jogged first and then did the resistance, which shocked my body. I tend not to do 3 full rounds of the workouts, usually two rounds at the most. The 28 miles I was logging per week really helped lean me up. The main thing people have to realize is you have to work out to keep the metabolism churning away so when you eat at night you won’t be hurting you efforts. Funk, you are definitely a large part of my motivation.”
